Objectives of the ICT Centre
The objective of the Ukamba ICT Centre is to introduce ICT tools to the rural communities, by availing, training and equipping the youth with the necessary ICT skills in order to bridge the digital divide between the rural and urban communities, by doing so Ukamba will have provided the youth with the necessary skills for gainful employment and opportunities for them to venture into entrepreneurship in the area of ICT.

The Ukamba School of Business recognizes the great digital divide that exists between the rural and urban areas of Kenya. Many entrepreneurs lack the necessary information technology and infrastructure to grow and expand their business into successful ventures. The Ukamba School of Business believes in the importance of ICTs and will endeavor to keep up to date with emerging global technologies.
The Ukamba ICT Centre will help the Small and Medium Entrepreneurs keep abreast with the latest technological changes in the world, by serving as a rural digital centre and will offer e-mail and internet facilities to the rural communities.
Ukamba also intends to use the ICT facility to develop ICTs skills especially for the Youth. The school in addition to providing ICT skills, will source for contracts on content development, software development, web design and development, and other business services in order to provide employment opportunities for rural youth.
Ukamba will also work with various government institutions and ministries in order to ensure that the ICT centre is the Information Centre for various governmental ministries and agencies in the community.
